The "Bold and The Beautiful" Wins Golden Nymph TV Audience Award
MONTE-CARLO, MONACO - Yesterday evening at the 49th 2009 Monte-Carlo Television Festival, the hit television daytime series "The Bold and The Beautiful" won the International TV Audience Award for the highest number of international viewers for a Telenovela/Soap Opera. theirEarth.com's Christopher Wheat took this photo of actor Daniel McVicar (Clarke Garrison), actress Ashley Jones (Bridget Forrester), the multi-talented actor/musician Ronn Moss (Ridge Forrester), and the Executive Producer & Head Writer of the "Bold and The Beautiful", Bradley (Brad) Bell. For theirEarth's large worldwide Internet audience, this photo was one of our best of the evening.
We intervied Brad Bell, "The Bold and The Beautiful"'s Executive Producer and Head Writer yesterday, and he was fascinating to talk to. All of the ideas and inspirations for the show emanate from his creative mind, and have done so since the very first episode of the series. We will bring you Bell's theirEarth interview in our later coverage articles about the 49th Monte-Carlo Television Festival. Bell has a great eye for choosing his actors and actresses on "The Bold and The Beautiful", and he is very supportive of each of them in their ups and downs. He views the cast as an extended family and endeavours to create a strong unity amongst the actors and actresses on the series by keeping the acting interesting for them, and filming at remote locations for the inherent variety.
"The Bold and The Beautiful" is a huge success story for its production company Bell-Phillip Television Productions, and the TV series is viewed in over 100 countries daily. It won the Golden Nymph Award for having a worldwide registered TV audience for a Soap Opera with over 24.5 million viewers in 2008.
