Suzuki's World Premiere Of The 2009 Suzuki Alto In Paris
Suzuki had the World Premiere of the new 2009 Suzuki Alto at the 2008 Paris Mondial De L'Automobile (Paris Auto Show) on October 2. Suzuki says the Alto is an ecological, elegant and efficient compact car designed to deliver fuel efficiency to the world's motorists. The Alto has a 1.0 L 12-valve 3 cylinder gasoline (petrol) motor with a power output of 68 hp (50 kW) at 6000 rpm - maximum torque is 90 Nm @ 4800 rpm). Suzuki gave pre-release data on the combined (urban/highway) fuel consumption figure of the new Alto at the Paris Show, which is 4.5 L/100 km (52.27 U.S. MPG / 62.77 Imp MPG). The C02 emissions figure comes in at 103 g/km. Suzuki has incorpoated ABS brakes, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and a six airbag safety package consisting front, side,and rear air bags.
