SEABOB Cayago VX2 - Underwater Jet Diver

SEABOB - Zero Emissions Propulsion

The SEABOB Cayago VX2 can explore the oceans and seas to depths of as much as 40 meters with a maximum speed under water of 14 km/h (8.7 mph), or 18 km/h (11.2 mph) over the water. The SEABOB is 100% electric powered producing zero emissions and runs off 12 lithium ion battery cells. It will let you explore reefs, and shallow sea floors or it can be used for recreational use to travel over water, or to surface dive and re-emerge, much like a dolphin, and without using breathing apparatus. The diving depth can be set so that you don't exceed a desired operational limit.

The SEABOB is made by Cayago AG, based in Stuttgart, Germany and they produce two models the VX2 and the F7. The F7 model comes with higher performance specifications than the VX2, primarily through a 15% increase in additional speed using a more powerful motor and with two additional battery cells. Charging the VX2 takes between 8-10 hours and this gives you approximately 60 minutes of operational time. To steer the SEABOB, you simply shift your weight either up or down of from left to right, and shutting off the power causes you to stop in a short distance.
