Scott Genius MC-10 Carbon Fibre Mountain Bike

If you want to leave the Ferrari, Porsche, or Tesla parked in the garage but arrive at your favourite coffee shop in style, then the Scott Genius MC-10 carbon fibre mountain bike (bicycle) may be the ride for you. Its an extremely capable mountain bike and the test reports have indicated that it simply flies up hills with excellent pedaling efficiency and excellent handling. The carbon fibre frame is very rigid and the bicycle is ideal for racers. The Genius MC-10 sells for approximately $5000.00 with the carbon fibre frame also being available separately for $800.00.

The Genius MC-10 Mountain Bike weighs only 11.9 kg (26.21 lbs) because of a very light carbon fibre frame (CR1 Technology). Up close to the bike, you can see the carbon fibre lattice in the frame much like the structure of a Formula 1 car. It comes with a handlebar remote controlled 3 position (LO-TC-AT) Scott TC shock that works extremely well for adjustment while riding with the ability to lock the shock rigid. The swing arm of the Genius MC-10 is a 6061 alloy with 130 mm of rear travel

The Genius MC-10's front and rear derailleurs are by Shimano, with the rear being a Shimano XTR RD-M972 SGS and the front a Shimano XT FD-M770E. The brakes are Shimano XT Disc (XT BR-M775) with the brake levers (XT BL-M775) and shifters (XT SL-M770) also by Shimano. The front and rear hubs, the spokes and the rims are DT Swiss XR1 Disc. The seat is a Selle Italy SLR XP Kevlar and the seat post is by Scott. The handlebars are also made of carbon fibre and they are Ritchey Carbon Pro. The Genius MC-10 comes with Schwalbe Nobby Nic Tires (26x2.25 / 67 EPI Kevlar Bead).
