2009 Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters - Nadal, Federer, Murray, Djokovic
MONTE-CARLO, MONACO - The world's No. 1 ranked tennis player, Rafael Nadal, and the No. 2 ranked Roger Federer along with seven of the other top ten ranked players will square off against each other at the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters 1000 next week in Monaco. Federer only recently accepted a wild card spot that Zeljko Franulovic, Director of the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters, said he kept open for a last minute player, and in the end it was great that the No. 2 Federer decided to join the competition.
This year's Monte Carlo Rolex Masters will be an all-star competition and a total of nine of the world's top ten ranked players, along with Serbia's Novak Djokovic (No.3), Britain's Andy Murray (No.4), and Argentina's Juan Martin Del Potro (No.7), will join Federer and Nadal in what will be one of the most challenging tournaments on this years ATP Pro worldwide calendar. It is a testament to the advance planning of the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters 1000 organizing committee that this week Monaco will have 56 of the world's best tennis players in the Principality for an event that will see some of the most famous people and celebrities from around the world in attendance.
