Queen Elizabeth II Greets President Barack Obama And Michelle Obama
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM - Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh greeted U.S. President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama in a reception held at Buckingham Palace on the evening of April 1, 2009. The excellent photo was taken by photographer Daniel Hambury. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh hosted the G-20 Leaders at a special reception prior to the official Delegates Dinner hosted by U.K. Prime Minister Gordon Brown and held at 10 Downing Street, the official home of the United Kingdom's Prime Minister. The G-20 London Summit, which was masterfully organized under the stewardship of U.K. Prime Minister Brown, took the G-20 Leaders to a new level of cooperation on global financial regulations, financial stimulus, and jobs protection in the face of the current world financial crisis. The global economy will recover well if the G-20 Leaders and the other world Leaders can solidify the pathway to a universal set of new global environmental regulations at the U.N. Copenhagen COP 15 Summit, which is the UN's 2009 Climate Change Conference. What is essential for the Planet and Humanity is the need to undertake true urgent recovery solutions that indeed says, "the Planet is worth saving for the Future Generations". |
