HSH Prince Albert II Plays Charity Football Match Vs. F1 Drivers
MONTE-CARLO, MONACO - HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco played in a charity football match today for AMADE Monaco, a foundation that helps children from around the world by developing infrastructure projects that implement sustainable development. The AMADE football match is an annual event that is played against current Formula 1 drivers with the opposition coming from past F1 drivers and other celebrities. The match always occurs in the week of the Monaco Grand Prix and is played at the Stade Louis II in Monaco.
This year, playing on the Formula 1 'Nazionale Piloti team' were Formula 1 drivers such as Fernando Alonso, Felipe Massa, Jarno Trulli, Giancarlo Fisichella, Nico Rosberg, Sebastian Vettel, Robert Kubica, and Giorgio Pantano. The Formula 1 drivers (the Nazionale Piloti team) beat their opposition, the 'Star team' 5-2, with two of the best players in the match being the Piloti team's captain, Formula 1 driver Giancarlo Fisichella, and then Felipe Massa, who each scored a goal. The third and fourth goal for the Nazionale Piloti team were scored by Nene and the fifth by Mantanari.
Some of the players on the Star team were HSH Prince Albert II, Riccardo Patrese, Max Biaggi, Troy Corser, Alex Caffi, and Marco Simone, The two goals scored for the Star team were by Simone and Champi.
