HSH Prince Albert II and Charlene Wittstock Attend Fundraiser
MONTE-CARLO, MONACO - HSH Prince Albert II and Charlene Wittstock are seen arriving at the International Needs [inmonaco.org) fundraiser (May 9, 2009) that was held aboard the SS Delphine historic luxury yacht in the Port of Monaco yesterday. The charity International Needs is based in Monaco and reaches out to communities throughout the world, with infrastructure projects currently running in Bangladesh, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, India, the Philippines, Romania, and Sri Lanka. International Needs Monaco provides direct support to construct and maintain new schools that educate children in regions of need through their international outreach projects. Yesterday's fundraiser was also attended by UNESCO goodwill ambassador Kim Phuc, who was first known as 'the girl in the photo' in an image taken of her by Pulitzer Prize winning photographer Nick Ut, as she was running away from an air bombardment with other children on a road towards him during the Vietnam War. Other notable individuals at yesterday's fundraiser were French film star Alain Delon, Stelios Haji-Ioannou, the founder of easyJet, and also the famous French celebrity and glamour-art photographer Jean Daniel Lorieux to name a few. HSH Prince Albert II and Charlene Wittstock both looked very good together as they spoke to those in attendance at the fundraiser, and the Prince later unveiled an aluminium statue created by artist Marcos Marin. |
