Colours, Styles and Textures At 2010 Paris Lingerie Show

PARIS, FRANCE - The 2010 Paris International Lingerie Show (Salon Internationale de la Lingerie), which ran during the dates 23-25 January, 2010 showcased the world's finest designer's lingerie apparel all under one roof at the Porte de Versailles in Paris, France. Known as the largest lingerie show in the world, the Paris show featured catwalk presentations of lingerie designer's 2010/2011 collections and trade/industry booth exhibition for sales, marketing and media interactions.

Over 400 worldwide designer lingerie brands exhibited at the 2010 Paris International Lingerie show. A review of the designer brands in attendance showed that the casual and sexy lingerie industry for women is a huge business and the investment in brand marketing and the development of unique image and style is very important. The lingerie designer brands had all created specially designed exhibit booths, with many having mini-catwalk presentations for the buyers and international media who were present at the show. The lingerie brands brought their design/marketing staff, and in most cases their executive management to Paris and their enthusiasm for this apparel industry was clearly evident.

Countries with lingerie industy companies in attendance at the Paris International Lingerie Show were Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brasil, Canada, China, Spain, Estonia, United States, UAE, France, United Kingdom, Greece, Hong-Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Tunisia, And Turkey.

This year was the first ever sleepover party where a special Saturday evening catwalk presentation of loungewear was made by the designers. The presentation was followed by a party where guests were asked to retrace their childhood and enjoy items such as waffles, ice cream, cotton candy, and jelly beans all mixed with glasses of champagne.

For the presentation of the designer lingerie brands on the catwalk, the attention to lighting, the music, and the development of themes to accompany the different ligerie collections made the 2010 Salon Internationale De La Lingerie show a huge success.
