Oscars And Actresses - 81st Academy Awards

HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA - This Sunday is the 81st running of the Academy Awards, and for the category of Performance By An Actress In A Supporting Role the five actresses nominated for an Oscar were photographed together in a group photo at the Oscar Nominees Luncheon in Beverly Hills earlier this month. One of these fine women will take her 'Oscar' home with her on Sunday evening (February 22, 2009).

From left to right and for the film and the studio represented are: Marisa Tomei in "The Wrestler" (Fox Searchlight), Amy Adams in "Doubt" (Miramax), Penelope Cruz in "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" (The Weinstein Company), Taraji P. Henson in "The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button", and Viola Davis also in "Doubt" (Miramax). 

The 81st Academy Awards will be broadcast live by ABC and some select world television channels at 5PM (Pacific)/8PM (Eastern) from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California in the United States.
