MEWS 2009 Aims To Make Progress On Commercial Waste Management

DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES - The 2009 Middle East Waste Summit (2009 MEWS) will be held in Dubai in the U.A.E. during the dates of May 26-28, 2009. MEWS 2009 will make further progress on providing the inspiration and development drive for global sustainability technology that came out of the annual World Future Energy Summit held in Abu Dhabi earlier this year.

MEWS 2009 is a global event and it brings experts from around the world to Dubai to discuss the future innovations and techniques in waste management. Over 6000 individuals have already registered for MEWS 2009, and there will be 55 renowned speakers, 50 exhibitors, and over 200 companies representing more than 26 countries who will attend the Dubai Summit to discuss Waste Management.

The U.A.E. is making significant steps to establish itself as a premiere location for sustainability technology innovation, installation, and design, and it also is inspiring new ideas for low-impact environmental design within communities through initiatives like Masdar City in Abu Dhabi. The Masdar development has already broken ground and it will eventually become a model city for energy self-sufficiency, waste management and recycling, with its revolutionary new designs for sustainable living techniques that open a doorway to the future.
