Michael Schumacher Returns To Monaco
MONTE-CARLO, MONACO - We took this photograph of Michael Schumacher after he had finished the Qualifying Session yesterday at the 2010 Monaco Grand Prix. The seven-time F1 World Champion Schumacher, who drives car #3 for the Mercedes GP Petronas Team, qualified 7th on the grid with a Q3 qualifying lap time of 1m 14.590. His teammate on the Mercedes GP Petronas Team, Nico Rosberg, was able to qualify his Mercedes in 6th (1m 14.544) to put himself one position up on the grid. Pole position for today's Monaco Grand Prix was taken by Mark Webber, driving the Red Bull Racing F1 car. Webber drove an incredibly quick lap of 1m 13.826 around Monaco's street circuit to take the pole. The second qualifying position was taken by Robert Kubica (Renault F1 Team) with a 1m 14.120 lap time, and this was followed by Sebastian Vettel in the other Red Bull F1 car for third place on the grid with a 1m 14.227. Michael Schumacher had the following to say about his qualifying session in Monaco, "I think we got out of the car what we could today and the positive news is that I am on the inside which is a good starting position and our starts have gone well recently. So we can at least hope to make up one or two positions for the race." |
