Hollywood Moving To The 'Green' Agenda

The 2009 Academy Awards (Oscars) will be shown live on February 22, 2009 on the ABC television network in the United States and this years show is expected to carry a great deal of Hollywood movie star support towards the protection and restoration of the Planet. It will be interesting this year to see the types of vehicles people are arriving to the awards in.

Hollywood actor Kyle MacLachlan, who plays the dentist Orson Hodge on the hit show "Desperate Housewives", is himself a promoting vehicle efficiency and 'green cars' with his decision to drive the Mercedes-Benz ML320 BlueTEC, which is a high efficiency diesel powered sport utility.

What will be interesting for February's Academy Awards is who arrives at the Oscars in the most efficient mode of transport, because this appears to be the 'trump card' that each actor and actress has on their agenda in addition to the clothes they will wear.
