Ivan Ljubicic Wins Against Juan Martin del Potro
MONTE-CARLO, MONACO - Croatia's Ivan Ljubicic (see photo), ATP ranked 66 in the world, defeated the No. 5 ranked Juan Martin del Potro of Argentina yesterday (4-6, 6-1, 6-4; April 15) at the 2009 Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters 1000. At Court Central, the Del Potro-Ljubicic match was the best of the day and very suspenseful, where Ljubicic fought hard right to the end against his higher ranked opponent. Ljubicic said that he was a wild card entrant, and that Masters Tournament Director, Zeljko Franulovic, has asked him to play in Monte-Carlo.
