Ferrari's Felipe Massa An Excellent Football Player As Well
MONTE-CARLO, MONACO - Ferrari's number one driver, Brazilian Felipe Massa, joined his fellow F1 drivers to play football for the 'Nazionale Piloti team' against Monaco's 'Star team', made up of players like Monaco's HSH Prince Albert II, past F1 drivers like Riccardo Patrese, and various other celebrities. The football match, which was held last night in Monaco at the Stade Louis II, is an annual event and it is held during the week of the Monaco Grand Prix in aid of the AMADE Childrens Foundation. The final score was 5-2 with the Formula 1 drivers' Nazionale Piloti team taking the win
Felipe Massa finished second last year for Ferrari in the F1 drivers championship, behind Vodafone McLaren Mercedes world champion Lewis Hamilton. Ferrari is off the pace this year with their car and their KERS may not be performing as well as the frontrunners. In the 2009 season, Felipe Massa has scored just 3 points and currently sits in 12th place in the drivers championship. On the football field, however, Massa is very good ball handler, and the footwork skills he displayed recently were excellent, even scoring one of the goals during the match.
