EVER Monaco 2009 - International Ecological Vehicles Show
MONTE-CARLO, MONACO - EVER Monaco 2009 started yesterday in the Principality of Monaco and it runs from March 26-29, 2009. This is the 4th year of EVER Monaco and it is now truly a world event on the agenda of all car companies who are able to display their future-class  latest products and concept vehicles. New models, future cars and concept cars from Nissan, Honda, Mitsubishi, Mercedes-Benz, Citroen, Toyota, and Venturi are on display at the EVER Monaco Show and it is open till Sunday evening (March 29) within the Principality. The photo shows a rear view of Nissan's Nuvu concept electric car that runs on new laminated lithium ion batteries supplied by Automotive Energy Supply Corporation (AESC), a joint venture between Nissan and NEC. EVER Monaco is an annual showcase event for the world's automotive and two-wheel vehicle manufacturers to promote and discuss their zero emissions and hybrid cars before the international media. Executives from both Nissan and Mitsubishi were at EVER 2009 this year for public signings of their Memorandums of Agreement with the Monaco Government regarding their support and technical assistance towards the installation of electric car infrastructures within the Principality. Monaco is taking a global leadership position in sustainable transport and wishes to be the premiere test centre for the world's electric and fuel cell powered cars, and also to promote other forms of sustainable transport. On the two-wheeled vehicle front, Vectrix was at EVER Monaco and displayed their high tech lithium-ion powered electric Maxi-Scooter. Built in the United States, the Vectrix is a commercially sold worldwide and is the most technically advanced 2-wheel transport on the Planet. It has advanced aerospace design technology in its aluminium frame. At EVER Monaco, many of the automobile and two-wheel vehicle manufacturers have made their vehicles available for booked public test-rides (Ride & Drive) and theirEarth Motoring will report on four of its test drives, the Mitsubishi i MiEV, the Honda Insight, the Toyota iQ and the Vectrix Scooter in upcoming articles. |
