Estelle's "American Boy" Nominated For Two Grammy's
British R&B performer Estelle is nominated for two Grammy awards tomorrow evening (February 8, 2009) at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards, which will be broadcast live by CBS from the United States. The specific Grammy awards that Estelle is in the running for are: Song Of The Year "American Boy" and also Best Rap/Song Collaboration "American Boy" for the work she did with hip-hop star Kayne West.
Estelle is scheduled to be one of the performing acts at the Grammys as she sings "American Boy" live with Kayne West on stage. Other performers expected to deliver live performances tonight are Paul McCartney, Adele, Rihanna, Sugarland, Chris Brown, Jennifer Hudson, Coldplay, Jonas Brothers, U2, Katy Perry, Radiohead, Justin Timberlake, Carrie Underwood, and Kid Rock.
The 29-year old Estelle has been on tour in the United States promoting her "Shine Album" on which "American Boy" is one of the tracks. She has started recording a new album that she hopes to release this year, and will also be a key performer at the Brit Awards later this month.
