"Oscar Designer Challenge 2010"

BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA - Designer Elda De La Rosa from Chicago, IL was one of nine fashion designers chosen from throughout the United States to present their gowns at the 2010 82nd Academy Awards Fashion Show held in Beverly Hills, California on February 23, 2010. In the photo, Los Angeles based model Christine is shown on the runway wearing a gown designed by Elda De La Rosa. Jewelry in the catwalk photo shoot was provided by Martin Katz.

The Academy Awards event is called "Oscars Designer Challenge 2010" and the nine designers in the competition are Rania Salibi (Phoenix, AZ); Phong Hong (Los Angeles, CA); Oliver Tolentino (Los Angeles, CA); Oday Shakar (Los Angeles, CA); Kelsy Zimba (New York, NY); Ivy Higa (New York, NY); Fernanda Carneiro (Los Angeles, CA); Elda De La Rosa (Chicago, IL); and Ari Sheuhmelian (Los Angeles, CA).

The nine fashion designers will be up against each other in an {Oscar.com} online voting contest, with the winning designer's gown to adorn the model presenting the Oscar statuettes to the Academy Awards winners. The 2010 82nd Academy Awards will be broadcast live from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California to over 200 countries on Sunday March 7, 2010 by the ABC Television Network and the show will commence at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET.
