Dadawa Helps Launch The Mercedes-Benz S 400 Hybrid In China
SHANGHAI, CHINA - The Chinese singing sensation Dadawa, who is from Guangdong in China, was at the 2009 Auto Shanghai Motor Show recently to help launch the new Mercedes-Benz S 400 Hybrid. The S 400 Hybrid is the company's first production hybrid vehicle to be sold in China, and uses a revolutionary design for the lithium-ion battery pack. The S400 has an internal battery cooling system integrated with the vehicle's climate control system, which gives the battery pack an extended life of as much as four times that of conventional automotive lithium-ion batteries.
Dadawa is well known as in international recording artist in China and she has worked hard to develop an audience outside of the country, appearing on Asian MTV, touring in India, Nepal and Tibet, and performing on world tours in Europe and Africa. In 2009, Dadawa was appointed as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador in China, with a focus on promoting ethnic music and handicrafts preservation. In 2006, Dadawa released the album "Seven Days", an album that focuses on Chinese folk melodies.
The 2009 Auto Shanghai Motor Show runs from April 20-28, 2009 in Shanghai, China, and the theme this year is automotive technology promotion towards the goal of sustainable motoring.
