Boris Becker & Fashion
(Berlin, Germany) - Three-time Wimbledon tennis champion Boris Becker was at the Fashionweek Berlin show in the historic Bebelplatz area of Berlin this week and we caught a photo of him during a television interview that he was having with German television. In addition to attending fashion shows from the designers, Boris spent some time chatting to the Mercedes-Benz design engineer and leather specialists on hand, who were showing both their new Mercedes-Benz leather types and the design software they use for drawing new concept automobiles.
Boris Becker himself has a keen eye for fashion and markets his own line of tennis fashion apparel worldwide. Becker is also very well known for his tennis rackets, which range from 'Junior' starting at three years of age in the "Boris 1" model, through to his "Becker Series - Becker 11 Special Edition", which always promises to be the exact racket that he currently uses himself on the court, and it is custom made and tuned to his specifications. His rackets and tennis apparel can be found on his web site (borisbecker.com).
Many of Germany's top stars from the fashion and entertainment industries came to Berlin to show their enthusiasm and support for the rapid revival of both fashion and the arts in Berlin. There is a solid commitment from both Mercedes-Benz and the city of Berlin to Fashionweek Berlin, and this year it firmly took its position as one of the key 'must be there' international annual fashion events for top designers.
