French Actor Alain Delon At International Needs Monaco Fundraiser

MONTE-CARLO, MONACO - theirEarth photographed French movie star Alain Delon last Saturday (May 9, 2009) while at the International Needs Monaco fundraiser aboard the historic luxury yacht S.S. Delphine. Since his first movie "Quand La Femme S'En Mele" released in 1957, Alain Delon has built a successful movie career, with over 88 motion pictures in his acting portfolio, and an exceptional movie star status in France.

In 1964, Alain Delon's film "Melodie en sous-sol" was nominated for a Golden Globe for best foreign language film. Then in 1984, Delon won a Cesar Award for Best Actor in the motion picture "Notre Histoire". Not just content with being a film star, Delon entered the business world in 1978 with his company Alain Delon Diffusion S.A. and launched a successful brand of men's cologne called 'AD'. This was followed up in 1981 with a perfume for women called 'Le Temps d'Aimer'.

Today, Alain Delon's brands in Asia are a huge success, and his cologne 'Samourai Woman', 'Shogun', and 'Samourai Woman Pinkberry' are top selling perfume brands there. His 'AD' sunglasses brand is also hugely popular in Hong Kong amongst men, and additionally his name is used on champagne, watches, clothing, and accessories.
